Description
To enable learners to:

- recognise potentially dangerous situations
during the design and construction of domestic
scale buildings
- communicate effectively with structural
engineers
- proceed with more complex studies of
structures.
Range of Variables
This module provides for off-the-job training in a variety of modes. Strategies should be selected to reflect the nature of the learning outcomes
and the needs of the learner. In particular it is anticipated that models will be available for demonstrations and practical work to support the theory.
Evidence Guide
A selection of the following methods can be used:

- Short Answer Tests
- Written and photographic reports
- Drafted or freehand construction details.

Learning can take place in the classroom, on building construction sites or other suitable learning environments.
