Theory Test
There will be a theory test at the completion of
each module. 100 marks
The stage theory mark will be calculated, by
averaging the module theory test marks. A pass must
be obtained in each module theory test.
Notebook Assessment
The student's notebook shall be assessed, according
to neatness and completeness. 100 marks
Practical Assessment
The practical assessment will comprise, an average
of the assigned practical projects completed, during
the modules. 100%
Certificate of Trade Studies Subject Awarded
Marks
Composite Theory Mark will be calculated, using the following formulae:
Block Release: Theory x 0.9 + Notebook x 0.1
Correspondence: Assignments Average Mark x 0.2 +
Examination Mark x 0.8
Privileged Re-Examination, Practical Skills
Re-Assessment
A privileged re-examination, or practical skills re-assessment, may be granted
on the recommendation of a Board of Review.
To be eligible for the Certificate of Trade Studies,
students must gain a pass in all stages.
