Description
This module develops student's knowledge and skills in Electrical Safety and Basic Electrical Principles. The Module supports supervised workplace practice leading to workplace assessment for restricted electrical licensing.
Range of Variables
The provider must be authorised by the Department of Consumer and Employment Protection. Applicants for a Restricted electrical licence must have approval to commence training from the Electrical Licensing Board (ELB)
The module contains elements that require the demonstration of both knowledge and skills. This will be most effectively met through an integration of group instruction and individual practice.
Because of the dangers of working with electricity it is suggested that skill practice should begin with Protcetion - Energy Safety to use this module voltages lower than normal supply voltages. ie. 24/41.5V. Formative assessment should be used to determine when the individual student may progress to work on full supply voltages.
