To teach the fundamental principles of physics, as
they relate to the operation, service and repair of
motor vehicles and their components.

A pass is required in both components.
Theory
A written examination of two hours' duration, consisting of the following:
- A compulsory Mathematics section 20%
- Questions examining the remainder of the syllabus 80%
Assignments
- Assignments/projects as set by the lecturer 20%
Students must achieve a pass (i.e. 50% of the
allocated marks) in both the Mathematics section of
the exam paper, and the assignment/project work, to
be eligible for a PASS in this subject. If either
section is failed, a FAIL shall be shown,
irrespective of the marks achieved in the other
section of the exam paper.
