Description
To develop the skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively apply a
range coatings by airless spray painting equipment.

Range of Variables
Delivery methods must provide for the demonstration of competence in the skills
specified in all learning outcomes in either on-site or simulated on-site
conditions.
In the off-the-job component of training due to the nature of airless spray
application, it is envisaged that it would necessitate a medium to large
project external to the institution be negotiated. This would facilitate the
scope necessary for the learner to demonstrate competence at the desired level.
All responses and work performed must comply with the various manufacturers’
instructions and recognised Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

- AS 2310 Glossary of Paint and Painting Terms
- AS 2311 The Painting of Buildings.
