Description
To provide the learner with the knowledge to apply safety principles on medium rise and wide span building sites.
Range of Variables
This module provides classwork and specialised lectures on nominated commercial and industrial topics.

Supervised site visits will also enhance the learners’ knowledge of safety issues as they are applied in the workplace.

Certain areas of content could utilise group projects.
Evidence Guide
Class discussion and group work

Short written tests which constitute part of total classwork mark

Provision may exist for Qualified First Aiders to test to certificate level (St John’s Ambulance)

Final examination.

Learning will occur in a classroom or other suitable environment.

Learners could access appropriate sites where possible and report on Occupational Health and Safety site application.
