Description
To develop a basis of knowledge and
understanding of the physical, social,
emotional and cognitive development of
children from 3-6 years.
To further develop observational skills
in students.
To encourage students to relate
theoretical knowledge to the practical
care of children from 3-6 years of age.
To develop knowledge of skills in using
observational data to plan, prepare,
implement and evaluate appropriate
experiences for small and large groups
of children in care.
To develop in students an acceptance of
individual differences and needs in
children especially those with special
needs.
