Description
This unit provides a relevant and meaningful introduction to the statistical processes needed by students undertaking a course in business or commerce. It will enable students to analyse and interpret data to help them with decision making by using measurable tools rather than personal opinion or subjective reasoning. This unit can be used in many disciplines such as financial analysis, econometrics, auditing, production and operations, and marketing research. Understanding statistics is even more imperative today, given that numerical results are often used (and misused) to manipulate or distort information.
