Description
To provide learners with:
Module 2/6: Electric Arc Welding
- An ability to correctly identify electric arc welding equipment
components and describe their function.
- A detailed knowledge of the areas of application for arc welding.
- A comprehensive revision of arc welding techniques and methods.
- A demonstrated ability to correctly clean and maintain arc welding
equipment.
- An ability to undertake a range of welding tasks using oxy-acetylene
equipment
- A detailed knowledge of the hazards inherent in welding, grinding and
associated tasks and the means of reducing and/or eliminating these hazards.
- A detailed knowledge of the safety clothing and equipment required for
arc welding.
