Description
Students shall be able to identify,
examine and evaluate the trends and
background of British novelists, poets
and dramatists.
Students shall be able to understand
and employ critical terms to the novel,
poetry and drama, eg, characterisation,
plot, theme, point of view, climax,
setting, rhythm, metre, imagery, etc.
Students shall be able to research and
employ the schools of criticism
applicable to the novel, poetry and
drama; evaluate influences of social
comment; judge the impact of social
change on modern English literature.
