To provide students with theoretical concepts and
practical applications of Manual Metal Arc, Gas
Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc and Gas Tungsten Arc-
Welding processes.

Suggested Duration Guidelines

Section 9 - MMAW Vertical Techniques:
6 lecture + 18 Practice = 24 hours

Section 10 - GMAW and FCAW Techniques:
6 lecture + 18 Practice = 24 hours

Section 11 - GTAW (Basic)
5 lecture + 15 Practice = 20 hours

Theory objective examination of one hour duration
covering major objectives of all sections in the
following proportions.

SECTION 9: 35%
SECTION 10: 35%
SECTION 11: 30%

Practical - Continuous assessment of projects is to
be in the following proportions:

SECTION 10: 35%
SECTION 11: 30%
