Description
To give students an awareness of the importance of
client service in veterinary practice.

To give students the basic client-handling,
reception and presentation skills required in
veterinary practice.

To give students general guidelines for dealing with
some emergency situations occurring in veterinary
practice.

One written examination of two hours duration 50%

Internal Assessment:
Assignments 30% Practical
Tests 20%

Students must pass BOTH sections.

Examination 50%

One written examination of two hours duration
consisting of:

- short answers
20%
- one paragraph
- short essay
30%

Internal Assessment

Two assignments (15% each): 30%

Assignment 1 on Topics 1, 2, 3 or 4.
Assignment 2 on oral presentation on selected
subject from Topics 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9.

Two practical tests (10% each): 20%

Test 1 on selected areas from Topics 2, 3 or 4.
Test 2 on selected areas from Topics 5, 6, 7, 8 or
9.

All practical tests to be conducted in actual or mock-up veterinary reception
area.
