Description
To introduce learners to the fundamentals of fluid mechanics. Solve
hydrostatic problems, and simple problems involving Bernoulli’s equation and
the momentum equation.

Range of Variables
This module contains learning outcomes that require theory instruction under
standard classroom conditions. The theory component will be assessed at the
end of the instructional period when learners are required to sit for a closed
book theory test.
The practical component will be assessed by appropriate laboratory reports. It
is necessary to pass individually the practical component and the theory
component to pass the module.
Suggested time allocation for each learning outcome including testing:
