A general introduction to the field procedures used
in exploration geology, geological mapping, and
mining geology.

Sufficient theoretical background to appreciate the
necessity for adopting particular field procedures.

A basic grounding in the practical application of
surveying, photography and sampling in geological
field situations.

The ability to acquire, use and care for geological
maps and aerial photographs.

The ability to make relevant observations and
systematically record geological field data.

Sufficient knowledge of the current Mining Act and
Regulations to peg leases and research lease
ownership.
