Description
To prepare learners to undertake Fieldwork Placement 002 in an agency,
organisation or program providing residential services to young people.
To provide opportunity for learners to discuss issues, observations and
experiences during and after Fieldwork Placement 002.
To provide opportunity for learners to clarify expectations of Fieldwork
Placement 002 and develop personal and professional goals.
To provide opportunity for learners to integrate theory, knowledge and skills
encountered in classroom-based modules with practical work situations.

Range of Variables
1. This module should be presented in tutorial workshop format with
opportunity for learners to ask questions, clarify and discuss instructions,
information and issues prior to undertaking Fieldwork Placement 002.
2. Information given verbally about procedures, requirements and
policies for undertaking Fieldwork Placement 002 should be reinforced with
written information and guidelines.
3. Learners should be given the opportunity to raise issues of concern
and share experiences and observations during and after the completion of
Fieldwork Placement 002.
4. In addressing all the learning outcomes in this module attention
should be given to principles of ethical practice.
5. Guidelines for TAFE Human Services’ learners undertaking fieldwork
placements as outlined in the Fieldwork Placement Manual should be adhered to
at all times.
