Evidence Guide
Examination 70%
Internal Assignment Assessment 30%
A pass in BOTH components is required.
Theory
A two-hour examination at the end of the semester
will require students to explain the operation of
a number of the systems studied and to describe,
in detail, suitable test sequences for diagnosing
faults in those systems 70%
Assignment
The assignment will require groups of students to
research electronic systems nominated by the lecturer. From this research,
each group will:
-submit a 'group' paper, explaining the operation of system, and the
appropriate test sequences used for fault-finding; and
-present (in class) an informative lecture on the system to other class
members. 30%
