Description
To develop an understanding of the physical
principles underlying a wide range of measurements
and techniques in physics and to enable students to
plan, conduct, analyse, report and evaluate
measurements of various physical quantities and
ensure that these conform to appropriate technical
and safety standards.

One 2 hour examination 40%
Internal Assessment 60%
Students must pass both components.
The written examination will assess only the core
topics. The internal assessment will assess the practical work and the
optional topics and must be based on a minimum of 2 practical exercises per
topic (8 total) and 1 assignment per topic (4 total). Tests on optional topics
should be included in the assessment where appropriate.
