Description
To provide the student with more advanced skills,
and knowledge, pertaining to the Combined
Hairdressing Trade.
To supplement trade experiences that the apprentice
receives, from his/her employer.

Pass in theory component - 50% 100%
Pass in practical component - 50% 100%
Student must pass both theory and practical
components of each module.
Theory
The theory mark will be a composite of four test marks (80%), and one
assignment mark (20%).
Continuous assessment of students' performance, by
way of two one-hour test papers, consisting of
short-answer and objective questions.
There will be two of these tests. They shall be
administered at the completion of Modules 13 and 15,
and cover the content of the preceding two modules.
Final mark to be an aggregate of raw score,
expressed as a percentage.
One assignment on a topic selected by the
Hairdressing Study Area.
Practical
Continuous assessment of students' performance, by way of an end-of-module
skills achievement test, based on criteria specified by Study Area. These
tests shall be marked out of 100, and culminate in a stage mark, thus :
Students' total divided by the number of practical tests.
Certificate of Trade Studies
To be eligible for this award, an apprentice must
reach a pass standard in practical skills and theory
for each stage.
A failure in this stage of the course may be
redeemed by an apprentice, gaining a pass in a
supplementary examination.
