Description
The purpose of this module is to provide training for effective communication
at the workplace and an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of
employers and employees.

Range of Variables
During the delivery of this module it is stressed that Occupational Health and
Safety procedures shall be adhered to and reinforced.
This module is designed on the assumption that most of the participants will
achieve the learning outcomes specified in 10 hours.
The length of time taken to complete a module will vary depending on factors
such as teaching method used, knowledge and skills at entry and individual
participant's ability.
Training in the communication modules: Organising Work Schedule; Participating
in a Team could be integrated with other modules across the curriculum,
offsetting the necessity of timetabling a separate module.
Problem solving process must be incorporated where appropriate within module:
. identify routine problems
. address options
. implement solutions
