To introduce students to key labour market and
training issues and their affect upon migrant women,
and to the support services available to assist women
to obtain employment or access further education or
training.

Range of Variables
This module will be delivered in the classroom with
short instruction sessions, small discussion groups,
role play and guest speakers. Students also gather
information and visit employment resource agencies
in the community.

This module will be assessed by:
Short written assignments or reports.
Brief oral presentation.
Development of a resource file.
Update or development of resume.
Completion of mock job interview.
Conditions of Assessment:
Assessment will take place in the classroom. Staff
are encouraged to provide a range of short activities
which allow students ample practice of reading,
writing and oral communication in English.
Learning outcomes can be assessed in an integrated manner. Materials need to be written in plain English and take
into account the language levels of learners.
