To introduce the student to topics related to PC
control systems, hardware selection, software
design, system's environmental considerations,
installation and commissioning, programming
techniques, problem-solving, and fault-finding.

Practical Assessment

This will be based on three minor assignments or one
major assignment and will constitute 50% of the
total pass mark.

Theory Assessment

The student will sit for a two-hour written
examination at the completion of the course. This
will account for the remaining 50% of the total pass
mark.
