To equip the student with a knowledge of the legal
principles and concepts that apply to the market
place, with emphasis on the legal process involved
in the purchasing function.

To equip the student with a realisation and
understanding of the role and complexities of the
common and statute law.

To equip the student with an awareness of the
availability of the law for the purchaser and the
implications of the statute law.

To equip the student with an understanding of the
legal position for the purchaser under different
influences of the market and business environment.
