Description
To develop an awareness of the factors
involved in attempting to assess and
classify land, with particular emphasis
on those aspects which the surveyor may
reasonably expect to become associated
with during the normal course of
employment.
Land studies introduces the student to the broad concept of earth resources and
the manner in which those resources affect land use. A knowledge of land use
and the various factors which influence land use, is essential to the
engineering surveyor, whose discipline is such that the bulk of his/her day-
to-day work is tied up with the basic unit of land.
