To provide learners with:

Module 3/1: Principles of Roof Drainage

- An ability to correctly identify basic principles applicable to roof
drainage and a knowledge of terminology associated with roof drainage.
- A detailed knowledge of the various materials, fittings, tools and
equipment used to carry out roof drainage.
- A detailed knowledge of the areas of application for roof drainage
methods and techniques; and the types of roofs commonly drained.
- A comprehensive revision of sheetmetal fabrication techniques and
methods.
- A detailed knowledge of regulations applicable to roof drainage.
- A detailed knowledge of sheetmetal fabrication techniques and methods;
and ab ability to apply them to roof drainage.
- A demonstrated ability to correctly describe roof drainage principles
and methods.

Module 3/2: Roof Drainage Design and Installation

- An ability to correctly identify roof drainage requirements from plans
and specifications and a review of terminology associated with roof drainage.
- A comprehensive revision of the various materials, fittings, tools and
equipment used to carry out roof drainage.
- A detailed knowledge of the installation requirements for roof
drainage and a practical understanding of installation methods and techniques.
- A demonstrable ability to design roof drainage systems for specified
roof types (from supplied plans).
- A comprehensive revision of regulations applicable to roof drainage.
- A detailed knowledge of sheetmetal fabrication techniques and methods;
and an ability to apply them to roof drainage.
- A demonstrated ability to correctly install roof drainage for
designated roof areas.
