Description
To enable learners to identify land management units on a land area, calculate
the profitability of land uses, plan an enterprise mix and construct
development budgets. The costs of land degradation, externalities and
community values are also discussed so that learners are able to make informed
decisions about implementing farm plans.
Range of Variables
This module will be best presented as a concise delivery of the general
concepts supported by specific information that is relevant to the learner’s
region. Slides, audio-visual presentations, field visits and measurements and
observations in laboratory-type facilities will complement the delivery.
