Description
To develop communication skills applicable to
the home based child care workplace.
Range of Variables
1 The theoretical elements of this module
could be delivered either through the open
learning mode or in a group learning
context. The practical outcomes of this
module makes it essential that a minimum of
6 hours are provided for workshops which use
experiential learning to increase confidence
levels and develop and practice the required
skills. The workshop groups should ideally
contain a maximum of 10-15 participants.
The practical components of the course could
be presented in blocks of time, or on an
ongoing basis over a number of weeks.

2 Delivery of the workshop component of this
module requires a room which provides space
for the participants to move freely and
supports the use of an experiential learning
