To enable the student to:
- Extend knowledge and understanding of evaluative terms and
practice.
- Identify the different methods of evaluating human
services and to chose the appropriate type for a specific objective.
- Relate the principles and theory of evaluation to current
philosophies concerning quality of life for handicapped persons.

Journal Critique
The students will each read and
summarise a journal article of their
choice. They will each lead a class discussion on the journal article
with particular reference to its validity as a research document. Total
possible marks = 40%.
Class Presentation
From week 4 to week 14 students will be
required to discuss the
progress/problems of their evaluation
project.
Total possible marks = 10%.
Evaluation Project
Students will complete the preparations
for an evaluation exercise to be
carried out in semester 2, i.e.
Evaluation 1B.
Total possible marks = 50%.
Initiate Evaluation Project 50%
