Locate and copy 10 catalogue entries from standard sources. Prepare card
sets. Prepare authority

Given catalogue entries file according to the "ALA Rules for Filing Catalogue
Cards" 2nd ed. and the
"ALA Filing Rules (Objective 8.4) 10%

Report on the organisation, storage and maintenance
of information resources in a specific library
(Objective 11.5) 10%

Satisfactory completion of the following class exercises:

-Shelving and shelf reading (objectives 3.5, 3.6)
-Processing books for the shelves (objectives 9.6, 9.7)
-Preparation of periodicals for binding (objectives 10.9 - 10.11)
-Mending of selected material (objective 11.3) 10%
