Description
To enable the learners to:
- apply key concepts of conservation to a practical conservation project
- discuss a conservation or heritage issue
- identify actions an individual or community may take to protect the
environment.

Range of Variables
It is recommended that the module:
- is delivered on-site as far as practicable
- covers a broad range of issues
- provides opportunity for learners to develop links with conservation
groups (a list of national organisations is included at the end of this module)
- provides opportunities for the practical assessment of the effect of
human activity on the environment and opportunities to learn how the
environment can be managed on a suitable basis.
Relevant references for learner use and transport to and from off-campus
activities must be provided.
