This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to gain a learner’s permit within the local context. The unit includes interpreting test questions, knowledge of road rules and driving safety factors as described in traffic authorities driving handbook and skilling test taking procedures required for the learner’s permit test (online, oral or paper based as applicable).

The content of the unit should be customised to comply with the legislative environment of the state where the learners will apply for a licence.
