Schedule
1.
Successful completion of a total of twelve (12) units of competency made up of:
- seven (7) mandatory units of competency, and
- five (5) electives units of which:
- a minimum of three (3) units are drawn from the specified Metalliferous Mining Extraction Underground units listed, and
- a maximum of two (2) units, relevant to the job function from other endorsed Training Package.

The completion of some of the units of competency may require employment in the industry or six (6) months relevant site based work experience to compliment the underpinning knowledge.
Shot Firing - Open Cut
To be designated/appointed under any statutory requirements as a Shot Firer, units of competency should be demonstrated to meet the State/Territory licensing requirements. State/Territory licensing requirements need to be confirmed by the Registered Training Organisation delivering and/or assessing the competency.
This training program is a representation of the qualification code MNM20103 taken from the Metalliferous Mining Training Package MNM99 Version 3 which should be consulted for full description of requirements.
