Description

This qualification reflects the role of senior building surveyors and principals of private building surveying practices who:
manage building surveying processes and teams
advise on a range of compliance requirements for residential, commercial and industrial building projects
work with a range of specialist consultants to develop workable solutions to identified areas of non-compliance in building developments.

Senior building surveyors and principals work in a highly regulated environment and must carry out their tasks ethically and according to legislative and regulatory requirements.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to building surveying in some States. Relevant state and territory regulatory authorities should be consulted to confirm those requirements.

Packaging Rules
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:
- eight (8) units of competency:
- six (6) core units
- two (2) elective units.

The elective units must ensure the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome and are to be chosen as follows:
- both units may be chosen from the elective units listed below
- up to one (1) unit may be chosen from other Graduate Diploma qualifications in CPC or another current Training Package or accredited course, provided they do not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification.
