1. CORE

This qualification requires competency in a minimum of TWELVE units (and any associated sub-units) composed of all EIGHT core units (and associated sub-units) and a minimum of FOUR elective units (and associated sub-units) UNIT SPLITTING Many of the Training Package units for this qualification have been split into two or more sub-units. Where splitting has occurred the first sub-units can be identified in the TITLE as "Part x of y of PML YYYY xxx A (e.g.Part 1 of 2 PML DATA 300A)", plus they have no National ID code. The final sub-unit has been given the standard National ID code and the Title of the Training Package unit. The total hours of all the sub-units is equivalent to the hours assigned for the whole unit the WA Implementation kit. A student must be assessed as competent in ALL the related sub-units before achieving competency in the final sub-unit. Sub-units may be assessed sequentially or concurrently. THESE CORE UNITS REPRESENT 320 HOURS

GENERAL NOTES

1. This qualification is a representation of the qualification PML 30199
taken from the Laboratory
Operations Training Package which should be consulted for full
descriptions of its requirements.
PML30199 is endorsed until 30/11/2002. Refer to the WA
Implementation Kit that is the source
of WA funded hours and other WA specific instructions.

2. The above model training program is a summary of the qualification
PML 30199 and the total hours
will vary according to the choice of electives.

3. This qualification is the copyright of The Australian National
Training Authority. RTOs who
wish to deliver this qualification must be registered by their
State accrediting body.
