Description
This is a qualification for concreters working in concreting operations on residential and commercial projects.
Occupational titles include:
concreter
concrete tilt panel fabricator.
This qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as a specialist field of work in concreting.
The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in an actual workplace or very closely simulated workplace environment, and this qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered in this context.
Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to concreting in some states and territories. For further information, check with the relevant regulatory authority.
Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia modelCode of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCWHS1001Prepare to work safely in the construction industrymeets this requirement.

Packaging Rules
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:- twenty two (22) units of competency:
- seventeen (17) core units
- five (5) elective units.
For the elective units:
- three (3) units must be selected from Group A
- the remaining two (2) elective units may be selected from Group A and/or Group B or from any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course at Certificate III or Certificate IV level.

2. Group A: Specialist elective units
Up to three (3) units must be selected from Group A.

Traineeships and Apprenticeships
For elite athletes the minimum hours of employment are 7.5 hours per week, which can be averaged over six month periods.
