The requirements for a Certificate III in Sport (Officiating) will comprise achievement of a total of nineteen (19) to twenty-two (22) units of competency consisting of:
- 9 Core Units
- 5 Stream Units
- 1 Group of Specialisation Units
- 4 Electives from any Training Package within the Sport and Recreation Industry

Any units selected must be relevant to the occupational outcome sought and should be appropriate to the Australian Qualifications Framework.
