Successful completion of a total of twenty one (21) units of competency with:
- Fourteen (14) core units being mandatory
- Seven (7) electives units of which:
- all seven (7) units are drawn from the specified Metalliferous Mining Processing units listed,
OR
- a minimum of four (4) units are drawn from the specified Metalliferous Mining Processing units listed, and
- a maximum of three (3) units, relevant to the job function from other endorsed Training Packages

This is version 2 of this qualification. This qualification was updated on 21/02/2005 by METS CSSN to reflect version 3 of the Metalliferous Mining Training Package MNM99.

A minimum of 18 years is applied to person wishing to enter this industry. To obtain a Heavy Rigid licence to operate machinery, a person needs to be over 20 years of age.


This training program is a representation of the qualification MNM50299 taken
from the Metalliferous Mining Training Package MNM99 which should be consulted
for full descriptions of requirements. MNM99 is accredited until 30/04/2002.
