This Skill Set defines skills and knowledge required for an existing engineering tradesperson who chooses to study at a higher level within metal, engineering, manufacturing and associated industries.

The Advanced CAD/CAM/CNC Operations skill set will provide existing workers with specialist skills in technical software drawing, programming, operating and maintaining CNC machinery. Participants gain the practical skills and knowledge to run complex programming through CNC machinery, Auto CAD & CAM software. Participants will learn how to develop technical drawings, fault find; run diagnostics; analyse; inspect; maintain & operate CNC machinery; workplace health and safety.
