This skill set will provide new entrants and existing workers with the skills and knowledge to work safely and communicate effectively in the conservation and ecosystem management sector.
Participants will gain knowledge of the skills required to follow workplace procedures and instructions, participate in environmentally sustainable work practices, recognise and report hazards in the workplace, follow workplace safety procedures and directions and demonstrate good workplace communications.
Units of competency in this skill set apply to supervised workers who are required to follow work health and safety policies and procedures, in accordance with enterprise procedures, recommended safe practices and relevant legislation.
