This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to develop waste management proposals to meet client service needs. The unit covers preparing cost estimates which take account of equipment, material and labour types and quantities to meet service requirements. The unit also covers inspecting the waste management service site to identify problems related to service delivery and planning appropriate contingencies. The unit includes preparing and presenting detailed waste management proposals and negotiating variations and changes to satisfy client and organisational requirements.
