This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to select cloud storage solutions based on the analysis of organisational requirements. It includes the development of implementation strategies to ensure that the organisation is prepared for the implementation of the selected cloud storage solutions.This unit applies to individuals who undertake the evaluation of organisational data storage requirements and plan the implementation for the organisation.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

1. Determine requirements for a cloud storage solution
  • 1.1 Review organisational data storage requirements and guidelines, and industry standards to determine need for cloud storage solutions within scope of own responsibilities
  • 1.2 Identify and evaluate cloud storage options with respect to organisational data storage requirements
  • 1.3 Identify data and security risks to evaluate cloud storage options for organisations
2. Develop an implementation plan for implementing cloud storage solutions
  • 2.1 Select cloud storage options to satisfy organisational data storage requirements
  • 2.2 Identify potential providers of cloud storage solutions and evaluate providers with respect to organisational data storage requirements
  • 2.3 Develop and document an implementation plan for the cloud storage solution aligned to the organisation data storage requirements within scope of own responsibilities
