Description
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to manage rail yard operations, in accordance with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements.It includes preparing to manage rail yard operations, optimising rail yard operations, managing rail yard resourcing requirements, incorporating rail yard safety requirements into the organisational safety management system (SMS), and implementing rail yard emergency procedures. This unit can be applied to freight yards, marshalling yards, intermodal terminals, maintenance yards or private sidings.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
