This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to prepare waste products for reuse. The unit covers identifying reusable waste products which meet client requirements, and notifying clients of product availability. It also covers storing and monitoring products which have been set aside for client inspection to ensure product quality and integrity of containment is maintained. The unit covers disposing of unclaimed products and recording details of product reuse. It requires the ability to calculate fees and charge clients at agreed rates for reusable waste products.The unit supports those who work under limited supervision in a waste management team.No licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements apply to this unit of competency at the time of endorsement.
