Description
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to determine client requirements, research possible solutions and communicate advice on principles and practices for a permaculture system to the client.This unit applies to individuals who take responsibility for their own work and for the quality of the work of others. They use discretion and judgement in the selection, allocation and use of available resources.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

1. Identify client requirements for advice
- 1.1 Initiate contact with client and record personal details according to workplace procedures
- 1.2 Determine scope and type of permaculture advice required
- 1.3 Identify financial and time constraints available to client for advice
- 1.4 Prepare a brief for requested advice and confirm with client
- 1.5 Secure approval to progress with brief from client according to workplace procedures
2. Provide client with general information on permaculture
- 2.1 Source general information on permaculture design principles and practices
- 2.2 Provide client with general information on permaculture design principles and practices
- 2.3 Clarify general information on request from client
- 2.4 Provide client with supplementary resources and references according to client needs

- 4.4 Finalise advisory process according to workplace procedures
