1. Plan and prepare to establish quarry operations
  • 1.1 Access, interpret and apply establishing quarry operations documentation and ensure the work activity is compliant
  • 1.2 Obtain, read, interpret, clarify and confirm work requirements
  • 1.3 Identify and address potential risks, hazards and environmental issues and implement control measures
  • 1.4 Select and wear personal protective equipment appropriate for work activities
  • 1.5 Access, interpret and clarify the approved site development plan in consultation with internal and external stakeholders
  • 1.6 Prepare detailed business and marketing plans/budgets/financial models and contingency plans for the operation
2. Establish the human resource requirement for the operation
  • 2.1 Access, interpret and clarify requirements and procedures relating to human resource management
  • 2.2 Establish parameters for employment of site personnel
  • 2.3 Select and appoint site management personnel
  • 2.4 Identify training needs and develop training plan in consultation with site management
  • 2.5 Develop and implement position descriptions in consultation with site management
  • 2.6 Establish site personnel selection procedures in consultation with site management
3. Establish the system for physical resource acquisition
  • 3.1 Access, interpret and clarify requirements and procedures relating to the acquisition of physical resources
