Elements and Performance Criteria
1 Plan and prepare for well servicing fishing operation
- 1.1 Access, interpret and apply compliance documentation relevant to the control of oils and gas emergencies and critical situations and ensure the work activity is compliant
- 1.2 Obtain, read, confirm and apply work instructions for the allocated task
- 1.3 Identify, manage and report all potential hazards
- 1.4 Resolve coordination requirements with others at the site prior to commencing and during work activities
2 Prepare pumping and fluid systems
- 2.1 Set required pressure in relief valve to parameters
- 2.2 Prepare fluid to required volume
- 2.3 Prepare fluid to required properties
- 2.4 Record accurate current volumes
- 2.5 Ensure correct flow path (flow back to tank, flow to shaker, flow to pit, flow to flare line)
3 Monitor and maintain pressures
- 3.1 Conduct visual gauge inspections
- 3.2 Record well pressure
- 3.3 Document and record gauge reading where instructed by RM/Driller
- 3.4 Clarify required actions for overpressure or under pressure
4 Monitor and maintain flow paths
- 4.1 Clarify required actions for overpressure or under pressure
- 4.2 Recognise factors that may contribute to overpressure or under pressure
- 4.3 React accordingly to identified overpressure or under pressure
- 4.4 Notify driller of abnormal operating condition
5 Monitor and maintain well control
- 5.1 Review pressures to ensure accurate
- 5.2 Observe fluid levels (increase/loss)
- 5.3 Realign flow lines to top up hole
- 5.4 Maintain fluid level in the hole
