Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to activate and deactivate autonomous systems in the resources and infrastructure industries, including carrying out work activity on autonomous systems and components and identifying and reporting malfunctions and failures. It applies to those working in sitebased roles. They generally work under minimal supervision to undertake a broad range of tasks in varied work contexts, using some discretion and judgement in applying investigative and corrective action. This unit alone does not provide sufficient skill to undertake the associated manual mobile plant and/or equipment operations. To perform this activity safely, it is intended that users have successfully completed relevant training for the associated manual mobile plant and/or equipment operations.Licensing, legislative and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories and industry sectors. Users must check requirements with relevant body before applying the unit.
