1 Confirm specialised repair requirements
- 1.1 Footwear is examined to assess repair requirements
- 1.2 Client priorities, preferences, budget and timelines are identified
- 1.3 Procedure for repair is discussed with the client and initial pricing calculated and confirmed
- 1.4 Agreement to continue with service is obtained
- 1.5 Client requirements are documented
2 Prepare for footwear repair
- 2.1 Special care and repair requirements of footwear materials are identified
- 2.2 Special care and repair requirements of footwear design features are identified
- 2.3 Specialised repair technique for footwear is selected
- 2.4 Materials and equipment requirements are determined and work area is prepared
- 2.5 Additional skill needs required to undertake specialised repairs are identified and addressed
3 Repair footwear
- 3.1 Footwear is repaired using specialised repair techniques
- 3.2 OHS practices for the specific task are identified and followed
- 3.3 Footwear is checked to ensure quality standards are met
- 3.4 Actual costs are managed against initial pricing
4 Finish repair and present to client
- 4.1 Footwear is finished according to repair requirements
- 4.2 Footwear is finished for presentation by polishing or cleaning, as necessary
- 4.3 Final inspection is conducted to ensure conformance to client needs and expectations, and workplace quality standards
- 4.4 Interpersonal skills are used to present to the client
