Elements and Performance Criteria
1. Ensure appropriate planning and preparation of tasks is carried out for applying the principles of demolitions
- 1.1 Access, interpret and apply the principles of demolition documentation and ensure the work activity is compliant
- 1.2 Access, interpret and clarify the specific task information and requirements relevant to undertaking the demolition tasks
- 1.3 Access, interpret and clarify job plan
- 1.4 Identify, address and report potential risks, hazards and environmental issues and implement control measures
- 1.5 Communicate and coordinate activities with others prior to, during and on completion of the work activity
2. Initiate tasks as per the demolition job plan
- 2.1 Identify, obtain and allocate the necessary resources are available for the safe, effective and efficient completion of the work activity
- 2.2 Communicate and explain work group and individual responsibilities and tasks
- 2.3 Sequence tasks as required for effective completion
3. Oversee the execution of tasks
- 3.1 Access, interpret and apply procedures for monitoring demolition performance to ensure outcomes are met
- 3.2 Initiate adjustments to work practice or job plan to ensure safe execution of work and achievement of required outcomes
4. Report on the execution of tasks
- 4.1 Complete and submit written reports
- 4.2 Recommend corrective actions to improve safety, efficiency and effectiveness
