This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to operate power generating plant as a local systems operation, in conjunction with coordinated systems, under the control of appropriate authorised personnel. The operation, configuration and implementation of power generation systems and plant should be considered and reviewed when undertaking local systems operations. Competency in this unit requires the ability to plan and prepare work, operate plant and complete work.
