Elements and Performance Criteria
1. Plan and prepare to manage multiple drilling operations
- 1.1 Access, interpret and apply documentation and procedures for managing multiple drilling operations and ensure the work activity is compliant
- 1.2 Obtain, read, interpret, clarify and confirm work requirements
- 1.3 Identify and address potential hazards, risks and environmental issues and implement control measures
- 1.4 Select and wear personal protective equipment appropriate to the work activities
- 1.5 Resolve coordination requirements with others at the site prior to commencing, during and on completion of work activities
2. Coordinate resource use for operational plans
- 2.1 Collect, analyse and organise resource information for use in operational plans
- 2.2 Ensure operational plans contribute are in line with business strategic and performance plans
- 2.3 Identify, confirm and allocate available resources within operational plans to achieve maximum value
- 2.4 Prepare contingency operational plans
3. Acquire resources for operational plan
- 3.1 Recruit and induct employees
- 3.2 Acquire allocated resources and services required for operational activity
4. Monitor operational performance of drill supervisors and drilling operations
- 4.1 Monitor systems and processes to identify variances to operational plan
- 4.2 Identify and investigate variances with resource usage, report and implement corrective actions
- 4.3 Mentor and coach individuals/teams on resource usage required to meet operational plan
- 4.4 Manage systems, procedures and written records associated with resource acquisition and usage
